Shopping in Alcudia
Between them, the town of Alcúdia
and the resorts of Puerto Alcúdia and Playa de Muro offer
a rich shopping experience. For the visitor, the main shopping
attractions are likely to be local crafts, jewellery, leather
goods, gifts, cosmetics, fashion and well-priced alcohol and
tobacco, all things well served in the three locations.
There are several stores that offer Mallorcan hand-made products.
Gifts and souvenirs are here in abundance, much of it samey
and not hugely inspiring, but there are some shops that are
real gems - Chess
in Alcúdia for instance, which has interesting lines
in t-shirts and other clothes as well as more unusual gift
items. Also in Alcúdia is the fascinating mineral-stones
store Agata.
High fashion has come to Puerto Alcúdia in a pretty
big way, typified by the international brand Adolfo
Dominguez, which has a store in the port, and several
other shops, e.g. Marengo Brasil and U’nam.
Alcohol of all types is available in numerous places, but
take a look at the vast stocks in the Big
Banana Shopping Center in the port and Supermarket Colber
in Pere Mas i Reus close to the Bellevue complex.

Mostly everything is made from stones such as agate, amethyst and quartz - sculptures, wind chimes, jewellery, fountains, geodes, rough stones (including birth stones) and numerous other fascinating items. Very different and very interesting.
